Watlington is a residential suburb of Timaru in South Canterbury on New Zealand’s South Island. It lies southwest of the Timaru town centre within the Timaru District. The suburb covers a compact area and maintains a settled residential character typical of Timaru’s outer southwestern fringe. It is bordered by West End to the north, Seaview and Parkside to the east, and Fairview and Kensington to the south.

Watlington is a quiet residential suburb located southwest of the Timaru town centre. Its position places it among the outer southwestern residential areas of the city, away from the main commercial and industrial zones further north and northeast. The suburb features typical suburban housing and streets, with some properties offering views toward the rural outskirts and Hunter Hills.
Historically, the suburb hosted Watlington Intermediate School, which operated from 1974 until its closure in 2004. The site later became home to Timaru Christian School.
Talbot Park operated as an aged-care hospital-level facility in Watlington for over a century before closing in May 2021.
