Pleasant Point Stream Walk

The Pleasant Point Stream Walk starts on Halstead Road opposite the Primary School, where a playground with swings, slides, tunnels, a climbing frame and a flying fox makes a good start (or finish) point for families with young children. The walk itself follows a flat gravel path that meanders beside a dry riverbed, with grassy banks and tall shady trees on either side. It’s a cooling, sheltered route for warm days. The walk ends at Runa Terrace.

Pleasant Point Domain Walk

The Pleasant Point Domain Walk begins at the corner of Mackenzie Country Road and George Street. The route heads along Mackenzie Country Road toward the Pleasant Point Domain and past the camping ground, where a well-marked track runs around the perimeter of the golf course. Large firs and other vegetation provide shade and create a natural buffer between the walking track and the fairways. Walking through the tree line (rather than along the golf course edge) is recommended to avoid errant golf balls.

The Pleasant Point Domain has a camping ground and serves as the town’s main recreational open space.
