What ERO found

The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a School Report from September 2025. ERO found success and progress rising for all students, high quality teaching in reading, writing and maths, and most students meeting or exceeding the expected curriculum level in all three, with results equal across groups.

The school is meeting the Government’s 2030 targets. Students have a strong sense of belonging and are highly engaged, the vision and values have been reworked with the community, and regular hui with whānau are building the school’s bicultural commitment. A large majority attend regularly, and attendance is improving towards the Government target while chronic absence falls.

The key priorities are to refine and embed shared teaching practice in line with the updated curriculum and assessment expectations, use evidence from community consultation and sound evaluation to improve programmes and interventions, and keep lifting regular attendance while reducing chronic absence.

Enrolling

Students who live in the home zone have the right to enrol. Out-of-zone places are offered under the enrolment scheme, by ballot when there are more applicants than places, and the number of places depends on how many in-zone students apply. The school’s enrolment page includes its enrolment scheme with the zone details.

Families can apply online or with a printed form, supplying a birth certificate or visa and passport, and proof of address for in-zone students. The school asks in-zone families to let it know about six months before a child starts.
